Privacy Policy

EasedUp publishes open-source AI Primitives and the Tools that use them, free for anyone to install or call into their own AI setup, across the industries listed on the site. This policy describes how we handle personal data across the EasedUp project.

  • Primitives are the skills, connectors, and plugins we publish — static, informational content. Browsing or installing a Primitive doesn't send us anything; there are no accounts, sign-in, or forms involved.
  • Tools are services we operate ourselves — currently in development — that do something on your behalf, such as an API that checks a piece of content against an industry's reference vocabulary. Tools are the only part of the project that can process data you submit.

This policy doesn't cover third-party services a Primitive or Tool connects you to once installed or called — those are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Personal Data We Collect

We collect very little, and only what a specific Tool needs to work:

  • Content you submit. A Tool that processes something on your behalf — like a labeling API that classifies a document against a reference vocabulary — receives whatever you submit (for example, a URL, and the content at that URL) in order to generate a result.
  • Contact information. If you request access to a Tool, such as an API token, or use the contact form, we collect the email address you provide, solely to respond to that request.
  • Technical data. Like most websites and APIs, the infrastructure Tools run on automatically processes standard technical information — such as IP address — to operate securely and to prevent abuse, such as excessive automated requests.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We don't use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics that identify individual visitors. Some Tools record anonymous, aggregate usage statistics — such as which Tool was called and how long it took — to monitor reliability. These aren't tied to you personally and aren't combined with any other data about you.

How We Use Personal Data

We use the data described above only to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve Primitives and Tools
  • Respond to requests you make, such as issuing a requested API token or replying to a contact form message
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse of our Tools

We do not use personal data for advertising, marketing, or profiling, and we never sell it.

Disclosure of Personal Data

We share personal data only with the parties needed to provide the Tool you used:

  • Infrastructure providers that host and serve Primitives and Tools
  • AI processing providers, for Tools that use an AI model to generate a result (such as classifying submitted content)
  • Internal team channels, when fulfilling a request requires a person to act on it (such as issuing an API token or answering a contact form message)

We don't disclose personal data to advertisers or data brokers, and we don't share it beyond what's needed to provide a Tool.

Your Choices and Rights

Because we collect so little personal data and never sell or share it for advertising, most state-specific privacy frameworks (such as a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option) don't apply to anything we do. Regardless of where you live, you can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, or to delete it — see Contact below.

Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the request that generated it. Content submitted to a Tool isn't retained once a result is returned to you; an email address submitted to request access or via the contact form isn't retained once that request is resolved.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we process, including rate-limiting to prevent abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our Primitives and Tools evolve. Updates are posted here with a revised date. If you fork or deploy this project yourself and add features that collect personal data, update this policy (or your own) to accurately describe what you collect — this one only describes the instances the EasedUp team runs.

Questions about this policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be raised via Contact.
